Refund and cancellation policy
This policy explains how deposits, refunds and cancellations work for services provided by Mr Ai Systems, LLC ("Mr Ai Systems", "we", "us"). It forms part of our Terms of service. Your written proposal may set out specific terms for your project; if it differs from this policy, the proposal applies.
1. Website concepts
Website concepts (previews) are prepared at no cost and with no obligation. No payment is taken for a concept.
2. Website build deposits
- A deposit (normally 50% of the build price) is payable to book your project and secure the price in your proposal.
- Cancel before work starts: if you cancel before your kick-off call or before we begin design work, whichever is earlier, we refund your deposit in full.
- Cancel after work starts: once design work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable because it covers time already committed to your project.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days of the cancellation being confirmed in writing.
3. Balance and revisions
- The balance of the build price is due at launch, before the site goes live on your domain.
- Your proposal sets out the scope and the number of revision rounds included. We make agreed revisions within that scope before asking for the balance.
- Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and only carried out with your written approval.
4. Monthly plans (growth, hosting and care)
- Monthly plans are billed in advance and start at launch unless your proposal says otherwise.
- Plans have a minimum term stated in your proposal (normally 3 months). After that, they run month to month and you can cancel with 30 days' written notice.
- Monthly fees already paid are not refunded for the current billing month, but we complete the work due for that month.
- If you cancel, we hand over your website files, domain access and account access promptly once all paid invoices are settled.
5. Third-party costs
Domain registrations, paid software, advertising spend and other third-party costs paid on your behalf are non-refundable once purchased. Advertising spend is paid by you directly to the advertising platform wherever possible.
6. No performance guarantees
We do not guarantee search rankings, numbers of leads or revenue, because these depend on factors outside our control. Refunds are not available on the basis of rankings or lead volumes. We do guarantee to carry out the work agreed in your proposal.
7. If something goes wrong
If you are unhappy with our work, please email austin@mr-ai.io first so we can put it right. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Please contact us before raising a dispute with your card provider; we will always try to resolve the issue directly.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects any rights you have under the law that applies to you which cannot be excluded.
